My little sister is having another baby boy! Here are a few photos I took of her when we were at my parent's house the other day.

So that was fun...

I made it two days on the 30 day photo challenge, too busy to focus on that right now. What I have been doing is working on Liesl's Halloween costume for our trip to Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland tomorrow night.
That is us, up in the attic. I am sewing, Porter is paying games on the laptop and Liesl is on the desktop playing games and picking her nose.

Day One: Self-Portrait

Today is my 34th birthday. Today I woke up and thought it would be a nice time to start this 30 Day Photography Challenge a reader told me about.

30 Days Later

I don't think my blog has been this dead in years. We got back from Sedona and went camping the next weekend. The day after we got home from camping we adopted a kitten and then had two weeks left of summer vacation, so we thought. We didn't have any plans, just to hang out and enjoy the few weeks we had left. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and playing with their friends. They both ended up getting into this new charter school close to our house. The school had some construction delays and ended up starting a week and a half late. They changed the start day twice so, it was hard on us. School finally started yesterday morning and began with welcome speech and ribbon cutting from our County Supervisor. first day of school at ota-6259

Sedona

We spent last week in Sedona with my sister and her family. It is so beautiful there, you can't help but have a wonderful time. We went on a few day trips to Jerome and Flagstaff that were a lot of fun and a hike to the river. It was too hot for us to do a long hike but, not too hot for the short one we took to the watering hole.

A Moroccan Dinner Party

As I was leaving my house last Friday night to go to a dinner party I said to Jason "should I bring my camera?" he said "no" so, I left it at home. When I got to my friend's house and saw the table she set up I went home to get it. It was a wonderful dinner, conversation and meeting new people, I only wish we had a sitter so Jason could have been there. Here are some of the photos from the night.

an ending and a beginning

Seven years ago I was just a month into this Stay at Home Mom gig. Now, I am just 6 short weeks away from becoming the mom of two school age kids, in school FULL TIME! Finally I get to sit on the couch, watch soap operas and eat bon bons, because you know, that's what SAHM's do, cough cough. I am totally going to do that by the way, maybe just one day to see what it is like. I might live tweet for fun. Everyone is scared right now because Natalie might actually do that! All joking aside I am really excited, scared, inspired and just ready for this new phase in my life. I am not going to do something crazy like get a full time job and sit behind a desk but, good things are in my future.
