Summer Fun

Today my kids are back in school and I began to look at the few photographs I took this summer with my dslr. When I was out and about with the kids it was more convenient to use my iphone and post to Instagram.

A Birthday Gift

Liesl celebrated her 7th birthday last month and her one gift request was this stuffed toast that she named Francisco. When we went to take her birthday photos she asked to bring him along. Here are a few from the shoot.

Creativity for Kids Craft Party

Today I hosted a craft party using a few different kits from Creativity for Kids at my friend's home. The girls had a fun time making necklaces, headbands and bracelets with the help of their moms. The kits provided us with everything we needed to make the crafts, even the scissors and glue. We started out making the Pop Art Necklaces and it ended up being the only things the girls, mostly around 6 years, could make on their own. It was a really fun morning crafting and hanging out with friends!

A Sailor's Adventure

Liesl drew some pictures yesterday and started telling me the story as I was looking at them. I told her we should write the story down, she dictated and I typed. You can read it on her blog.

a busy friday

To end our week of fun we had our friends Ava and Maya over for the day. Our plans to meet some friends at the bay had to be changed because Ava and Maya forgot their swimsuits. I had everything packed for a day out so we went to Trolley Barn Park for a few hours. After the park we went over to The Children's Museum. It was not busy at all and the kids had fun!

North Park Library

At our local library, the summer reading program includes special guests every Thursday. Today a man brought in a few different animals so show and talk about. It was a nice presentation and the kids had fun.
