Middle Sister

I am the middle sister in my family and bought this bottle of wine because of the name. I wonder how many other middle sisters have done the same thing.

cold

It went from hot to cold here and I am not really liking the cold. When I say cold, it is just the low 60"s, so I really have nothing to complain about. I took the kids to the park in jackets and pants and when Porter got out of the car he said it was too cold and did not want to stay. I decided to take them to the Children's Museum instead. I only had enough coins for the meter to stay a little over an hour, so it was a quick trip. The kids didn't get to do everything, but they did a lot. Porter was on fire talking to all the other parents telling them his full name, his age and birthday. I think it is okay for now, but when he knows his phone number and street address I am going to have to have a talk with him about it.
At the block table Porter decided to spell out his name.

I finished the last book in the Twilight series. I feel sad that it is over, but happy that I am done being obsessed with reading for a while.

a break

I have things to write about, projects to sew, hats to knit and books to read. A playgroup friend recently had an experience having to do with blogging and it has made me sad. I wonder how much I should write or share anymore. I wonder what I want to do with this blog. I will probably resume my regular posts soon, but I just can't do it right not. We will see.

the real reason

Okay, the real reason why I have not blogged in a while is because of a combination of reading, watching too much TV and obsessively planning Jason's surprise 40th birthday party. All I was thinking about was party planning and since I could not write about it here, I just could not write.

I just had to jump on the boot trend and picked up these as I was passing through the mall on my way back from the Children's Museum the other day.

Wild Animal Park

Saturday I arranged to have the house cleaned for Jason's birthday party, so we went to the Wild Animal Park. The last time I went there was when Porter was around 6 months old. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved it
Porter's favorite part was the tram ride Journey To Africa.

We went to my parent's house after school today and Porter helped his Uncle Nicky make a planter box.
