for your reading pleasure

Remember this post from Friday? Well I just received an anonymous comment about it and wanted to share it with you all. I think some of my friends and readers will find this entertaining!
Well now this is just proving the point that weaning should be done when solid foods are introduced, They trade nursing for solid foods. Thats how I have done it with all three of mine at 4 monthes they are all super healthy, happy, and they never have had to feel the sadness that your little girl is feeding. Its selfish to nurse them this late for your convienience.I swear with how long women go it must be about pleasure or something. When a child can ask for it, they are to old. It may be mothers milk but its also a boob something that has been used sexually should not be used to feed a child of that age! You should be ashamed of yourself. And same with all you women who don't cut them off when they should be cut off. They never learn to self- soothe. The breast is soothing. What are they going to do when they are 16 and get hurt buy the opposite sex? Come home to momma to suck on a boob because they haven't learnt to find comfort any other way? IF you want them to have the benefits of breast milk I understand that. Its called pumping. I've pumped for all mine throughout from 0-12 monthes very rarely did they get the breast. I sleep alone with my husband at night and get a full nights sleep.

It is comments like this that make me feel so happy to have my husband, family and friends around me who support me and my decisions.

  1. Anonymous (if that's your real name), I feel sorry for you. You don't have to understand why, and it would shock me if you did. Just know that there are other ways to do it that work just as well (if not better, particularly for the child) as your way. But I'm glad you've got it figured out for the rest of us, now we don't have to have a single original thought in our own heads, what a relief!

  2. Oh, and FYI, anonymous? My child was not weaned until almost 3, and it was far from enjoyable for me, I believed it was the best thing for my child. And she's plenty good at self soothing, no thumb, no special blankie, nothing, she just goes to sleep on her own and self soothes.

  3. You know, it's just hard to believe that people like this really exist. Or maybe they don't. Anonymous trolls often scour the internet looking for a release for their own guilt and shame.

I guess it's time to wean my five month old (that's five "monthes" in Anony's dictionary) and return my DIRTY PILLOWS to their intended use... sex toys. YEAH! Wooo hooo!

Sorry your sweet family blog got profaned by such crap. But thanks for not deleting the comment so we can be reminded of what sadness lurks out there.

  4. OMG, I can't stop laughing. Is this lady for real?
I have met a lot of women in the "I only want to sleep with my husband camp" I agree that it would be nice but your babies are only little for such a short time. What's the rush? I can't help but think that a lot of these women who say there beds are for just their husband are secretly worried that if they are not available 24/7 they might leave them. I don't know but sometimes I wonder. This woman has obviously sexualized the boob and her bed!
I wonder how she got a full nights sleep when she was bottle feeding her infant?

  5. I can't stop laughing. I love these people, they're such brilliant examples of what I never want to be and why. And yes, I agree: it makes me feel so fantastic that I have such an amazing group of friends and family who understand what's really important in this world.

    GROUP HUG!

  9. i feel sorry for anonymous' children! poor babies. she herself says it, "the breast is soothing" -
definitely need to keep that away from your babies, wouldn't want anything soothing coming near them, right? poor babies.
and also, yuck! talk about issues. i say it's a good thing her kids are nowhere near her and her husband's bed.
