A fun cat toy

Greta likes the HEXBUG Nanos as much as the kids!

Zombie HEXBUG Nano

I am not a fan of zombies, zombie movies or anything having to do with them. I cried at the end of the movie 28 Days Later, it freaked me out. I stay away from anything zombie related now but, made an exception for these cute little zombie bugs. A few of Porter's classmates from school and some other friends came over to check out the zombie/glow in the dark version of the HEXBUG Nano and track.
Porter's "this is awesome" move.

a lovely family

Saturday we went to check out the new exhibit at the Children's Museum with some friends.  They are expecting a new baby in a few weeks so, we did a little photo shoot while we were there.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

A Saturday Walk

Saturday we went for a walk in our neighborhood.
Found a fun blue garage door to pose in front of
A fun house with a ton of homemade lawn art to look at
A yummy restaurant to eat at
and a fun park to play at
I love our city!

Mickey's Halloween Party

Once again we were invited to visit Disneyland for the first night of Mickey's Halloween Party! I was just looking back at our visits from two and one year ago, the kids were so little. This years visit was a little less hectic and more enjoyable. We took the kids out of school early, drove up to LA and checked into the Disneyland Hotel, where Disney reserved a room for us. Our first stop was to relax and enjoy a drink at the tiki bar.

After, we went back to our room to get dressed up in our costumes. This year I decided to dress up too, couldn't convince Jason, maybe next year!

Liesl as Little Blue Ridding Hood, Porter a phantom, me a witch and Jason a Jason.
While Jason and Porter went on the rocket ride Liesl and I went to Space Mountain. It was always one of my favorite rides and I haven't been on it in years. Now that Liesl is tall enough to go I was really excited to take her.
Liesl left the ride crying because it was too scary and fast. Later she said that it was kind of fun and kind of scary. I forgot how fast the ride was and had so much fun, I wish I could have went twice. After Space Mtn. we went over to the Haunted Mansion, Liesl's favorite. We had fast passes so we didn't have to wait in line and went twice since Porter didn't want to go.
On our way to meet up with Jason and Porter, Liesl had a dance party in front of the castle.

We went through one Treat Trail that had 4 or 5 stations and at each one the kids got a handful of candy, so they were happy! We rode the Dumbo ride where Porter was old enough to ride alone, bought some popcorn and headed over to watch the fireworks.

Right after the fireworks we decided to head back to the hotel. I looked over and Liesl had passed out not a min after the fireworks ended.
Porter ran down Main Street, stopped ran back to me and gave me the biggest hug and said "thank you mommy for bringing me here, I had so much fun" I almost melted, he can be so sweet. So a big thank you to Disney for such a fun visit!

*sorry for the bad photo quality, they were taken with my iphone
