A few weeks after our trip to see Sea World to see "snow", my friend and I took our girls to Julian.  To my surprise there were still patches of snow on the side of the road so, we had to stop and play!

Up until a few weeks ago our kids had never seen snow before.  I feel weird writing this but, I took the kids to Sea World to see snow for the first time.  It almost feels like saying "I carried a watermelon".  When I told the kids that we were going to see snow, Liesl ran and got a warm puffy jacket from her closet, size 2t, that still fits her.  Why I have saved that jacket for all these years

Once again we were invited to visit Disneyland for the first night of Mickey's Halloween Party! I was just looking back at our visits from two and one year ago, the kids were so little. Jason has been reading chapter books to the kids for a while now but, Porter has never read one on his own. His school was having a book fair, he picked out this book and read it. It was so cute to see him sitting there reading it and laughing out loud.

Last weekend my parents and a friend watched the kids so Jason and I could take a quick trip out to Palm Springs. We love it out there and had a really nice time. I think my favorite part of the trip was ridding a tandem bike to breakfast in the village.

Recently the kids and some of their friends got to play with the new Zhu Zhu Babies. Liesl watched the commercial for them and asked for one for her birthday but, they were not out in the stores yet. We took the kids to an art class at the home of a local artist yesterday and they really liked it. The teacher was wonderful and when the kids needed a break they were able to wander is the garden of wildflowers. It was such a wonderful inspiring place to create. Liesl attends a christian pre-school and they say grace before snack and once a month "Grandma Joan" comes in and reads a religious book. Today we went to our friend's house, also known as Radio Acres Farm, to look for fossils. They were planting some trees and came across some fossils of sand dollars and other shells. A year ago when I bought my camera, this blog started to become more picture heavy and is now to the point where I write almost nothing. Pictures tell the story now and you keep on coming back to see. I am toying with the idea of sharing more of our lives again and I wonder if I should?

Liesl's birthday was a month ago and my sister asked me today why I never put any pictures up from it. My sister made a beautiful cake, my brother made pizzas in the pizza oven and my brother's girlfriend made the most amazing pinata ever.

Recently Liesl started taking a class at the Junior Theater and a circus class so, Porter and I get a few hours alone together. Liesl's Junior Theater class is at Balboa Park so we have been wandering around finding places we have never been to before. I think it is really important to spend one on one time with the kids and we have been having a really fun time!

I found a bag of tree blocks at a thrift store yesterday for only 2.99 and bought them for the kids. Porter loved playing with them and came in and said "they're just like Legos".

Yes, I am that mom. The mom who's kids can't stay out of the water. I told the kids to get out of the water but, they didn't until the security guard said "if you don't keep your kids out of the water I'm going to have to ask you to leave".

A few weeks ago the kids were sick so, they stayed home from school and we met up with some friends in OB who were sick too. The kids weren't really really sick, just fighting something and not up to going to school. Anyway it was a nice day and the kids had fun.

Tonight we went to the Children's Museum for family night. Every Thursday they are open until 6PM and most of the time it is empty so, the kids have a ton of fun. Tonight they had a steel drum band playing and a fun interactive story time the kids really got into. I helped Liesl make some owl eyes while Porter played "angry birds" in another room by stacking pillows and throwing another pillow
